About SSN

The Standard Sonography Network of Ghana (SSN) is a legally registered and recognized private society, bringing together certified sonographers from all regions of Ghana. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to promote professional development, deepen knowledge, and enhance the practice of sonography both nationally and internationally.

At SSN, we provide a collaborative platform where members engage in discussions on a broad spectrum of medical conditions, particularly those pertinent to sonography. We facilitate the sharing of insights into report writing and offer access to job opportunities through our regularly posted vacancies. Our core objective is to ensure that all members are equipped with the expertise and skills required to excel in the field of sonography, thereby contributing significantly to the broader medical profession.

SSN operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors, headed by the chairman (Director), responsible for establishing rules and regulations that govern the organization. Additionally, an Executive Members, composed of positions ranging from the President to regional representatives, oversees the day-to-day activities of the society, working diligently to ensure the growth and advancement of all members.

Membership in SSN is open to all qualified sonographers, whether holding a certificate, diploma, degree, or having received on-the-job training. We embrace inclusivity and do not tolerate academic discrimination. Once you join, we are committed to mentoring, guiding, and supporting you through all available academic and professional pathways to help you thrive in the sonography profession.
